Mermaid II
Mermaid II is one of the most comfortable and diver friendly liveaboards in her class in Indonesia. She operates 7 night Komodo trips from May to November and she cruises Raja Ampat for 8 nights between December and April. Relocation and biodiversity specials are also offered on occasion.
Accommodation & Facilities
Mermaid II easily accommodates 16 guests in 8 deluxe cabins, all on the main deck with large panoramic sea view windows, double and single beds, individually controlled air conditioning and private ensuite bathroom. Each deluxe cabin has removable single beds allowing double only bed configurations for those who wish.
2 guests can be accommodated in a budget cabin below deck, with twin bunks, air conditioning and share bathroom with 1 other cabin.
M/V Mermaid II is a 32m (105ft), double engine steel motor yacht. She offers plenty of space for all guests on board. The dining room is located on the main deck where delicious buffet style Thai and western meals are served.
The saloon is large and spacious with lounge suites and big windows, bar fridge, tea and coffee facilities, TV/DVD, music center, library and a full selection of marine life books.
There are two outside decks - the shade covered party deck has comfortable lounge chairs. The sundeck, located in front of the wheelhouse has full sun and cushioned sun-platform. A decicated camera table and rinse tanks make Mermaid II very suitable for photographers.
Dive Service
There is a wide stern dive platform with two exit ladders and fresh water showers. The dive deck is huge with plenty of room to gear up, individual boxes for dive gear, camera table and loads of rinse tanks. Camera rental available. NITROX is generated by a high volume membrane system and available on every cruise for divers who have the appropriate certification. Mermaid II provides 20x 12L (80 cu.ft.) air tanks and 20x 12L Nitrox tanks. There are also 5x 15L (100 cu.ft.) air or Nitrox steel tanks on board. DIN and INT valves are available.
Staying Connected
Mermaid II has installed 3G boosters - extending phone access to more than 30km from the nearest signal tower. This means guests will be able to quite freely use their phones throughout the Komodo cruise and in many areas in Raja Ampat. In addition to being able to use their phones, subject to data signal reception, guests will have more access to their own provider packages.
