Just returned from Bali. I stayed at the Lotus Bungalows in Candi Dasa and did ten dives with Gangga Divers. The holiday and diving was excellent. The resort is fabulous with very friendly and helpful staff, great massage and beautiful surroundings and gardens. The bungalow accommodation was very comfortable and well serviced, with everything available including air conditioning. The restaurant provided good cuisine in a wide range of delicious foods including local and overseas recipes. I spent two days touring the island with a driver and air-conditioned car to see the wonderful gardens, temples and villages which I organised with Lotus Bungalows staff.
The diving was spectacular with seven boat dives to the off shore islands including one night dive and three dives at Tulamben, two on the Liberty wreck. Great corals, turtles and tropical fish. The Gangga Divers service was excellent. The dive boats are modern, comfortable and well equipped. The dive crew were great and took great care of my dive gear, providing helpful and informed briefings for each dive. Jan and Henriette who run Gangga Dive are fabulous and very helpful. I can't praise them enough. Having dived in the Philippines, Truk Lagoon and now Bali I have to say the dive service from Gangga Divers was the best I have encountered in Asia to-date.
I have no hesitation in recommending Lotus Bungalows and Gangga Divers for their hospitality and great service.
